Nearly RMB 7 Billion, 18 New Vessels! Zhonggu Logistics Makes a Major Move
On the evening of July 27, Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhonggu Logistics" or the "Company") released the Announcement on Resolutions of the 20th Meeting of the 4th Board of Directors* and the *Feasibility Analysis Report on the Use of Proceeds from the Public Offering of Convertible Corporate Bonds to Unspecified Objectors (Second Revised Draft).

The two announcements stated that Zhonggu Logistics plans to issue convertible bonds to unspecified objectors, adjusting the proposed fundraising amount from no more than RMB 3.0 billion to RMB 2.73 billion, for the container vessel acquisition project. The total investment in the project is RMB 6.859 billion. Specifically, the Company plans to acquire 10 new 1,800 TEU container vessels and 8 new 6,300 TEU container vessels, with the implementation entities being the Company and its directly or indirectly wholly-owned subsidiaries.
Zhonggu Logistics stated that, in order to align with industry development trends and match the Company's future strategic development plan, all vessels to be acquired in this project are foreign-trade container vessels. This will enable the Company to respond flexibly to international container logistics market demand and reduce per-TEU operating costs through a more rational vessel deployment, route density, and route composition. At the same time, seizing the industry supply-demand window and the right timing, the Company will continuously renew and upgrade its own fleet capacity through new vessel acquisitions, increasing the number of young and high-efficiency vessels and optimizing its fleet structure.
The announcement also noted that the filing procedures for this fundraising project have been completed.
Founded in 2003, Zhonggu Logistics is one of the earliest companies in China to specialize in domestic container shipping. It has now developed into a comprehensive modern entity enterprise integrating liner services, integrated logistics, vessel management, and physical investments.
According to the latest data from Alphaliner, Zhonggu Logistics ranks 13th globally in terms of fleet capacity, operating 60 container vessels with a total capacity of 55,725 TEU, of which 12 are owned vessels, 48 are chartered vessels, and 18 are under construction.
